Itinerary
Upon your arrival at the Bangalore airport, you will get transferred to your hotel. Relax muscles and freshen. Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka. It is also known as the “Silicon Valley of India”, due to the presence of major high-tech industries. It is also known for its bustling nightlife and parks.
The first stop will be the Lal Bagh. It is beautiful garden consisting of a variety of flora. It has shrubs, bonsais, roses, and blossom trees. It also has a famous glasshouse and a fountain in the garden. On Independence Day and Republic Day, it has a beautiful display of rose. The next location you will be visiting is the Cubbon Park. It is a vibrant park. People who visit this location fall in love with the city of Bangalore. It has huge gardens, walking paths, a library, and open stages for drama. Many open poetry, dramas, and dog shows take place here. The next destination will be the Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace. The palace is known for its elegant architectural design and beautiful gardens. Wake up to a healthy breakfast at your hotel and head out for a marvelous journey to Mysore. Mysore was the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore. It is now called as the “cultural capital of Karnataka”. It was ruled by the Wadiyars and Mughal for a long period of time.
The first stop will be the Mysore Palace. The palace is an Indo-Saracenic palace that comprises of a durbar hall. It is surrounded by the Chamundi Hills. It was the royal residence of the rulers of Wadiyar dynasty. The next stop is the Chamundeshwari Temple. The temple is situated on the Chamundi hills. It is dedicated to the Hindi Goddess Durga or Chamundeshwari. The next location you will visit is the Brindavan Gardens. It is sited along the Krishnaragasagar Dam. It consists of several fountains and terraced gardens. Post tour, overnight at the hotel.
Today after breakfast, the day is at leisure. You can cover other places of interest that include Jaganmohan Palace, Krishnaragasagar Dam, St. Philomena’s Cathedral, Karanji Lake, and much more.
The Jaganmohan palace is a royal palace used by the Wadiyars. It was built in 1861. Now, it consists of marvelous paintings, carvings, and artworks that provide an insight over the city’s history. The Krishnaragasagar Dam was built in the 1911 over the river Kaveri. It offers a great view from the top. Here, you can go boat riding across the lake as well. The St. Philomena’s Cathedral is also called the “cathedral of the Diocese”. It has a Neo-Gothic architectural style. The cathedra comprises of a sanctuary, spires, and large stained glasses. The Karanji Lake is a huge 222 acre lake. It consists of a butterfly park and India’s largest walk-through aviary. It also a museum situated that provides an insight of great artworks. Post tour, in the evening you will get transferred to Ooty, where you will check into your new hotel.
Post breakfast, head out for an amazing tour across Ooty. Ooty is also known as Udhagamandalam. It is beautiful place for all wanderlusts and nature lovers. It is surrounded by roses, lakes, hills, and valleys.
The first stop will be the Ooty Lake. The serene lake offers many activities for tourists such as boating and rowing. It also has a majestic boathouse. The lake covers an area of 65 acres. The next stop will be the St. Stephen’s Church. It is one of the oldest churches with intricate features. It consists of tall stained-glass windows and infamous painting of the “Last Supper”. The next location you will cover is Doddabetta. It is a high elevated mountain across which you can trek and hike. It has a forest preserve and a telescope observatory. Early in the morning, reach Bangalore from Ooty by road. On arrival, get transferred to airport for your onward journey.
